New InfoBasis platform enthusiastically received
Clients and partners rate InfoBasis Enterprise Skills Infrastructure™ 5.0 highly
InfoBasis has unveiled the latest functionality of its capability management platform to a strongly positive reception from clients and partners. Two years in development, InfoBasis Enterprise Skills Infrastructure™ 5.0 represents a considerable extension of the InfoBasis platform, providing wider, more configurable, talent management functionality.
InfoBasis previewed the new platform at le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, the prestigious Michelin- and Zagat- rated hotel and restaurant near the company's UK headquarters. Among the audience were InfoBasis' leading partners and clients, such as Norwich Union, JGP, BAE Systems and the MOD.
"There have been over 60 substantial feature additions and improvements - from simpler internationalisation to enhanced security," said InfoBasis CTO Nicholas Revell, "but the key change in InfoBasis ESI 5.0 is the focus on re-usable workflow processes."
InfoBasis ESI has always shared data between processes - for example, enabling skill and personal data collected during recruitment to be used during appraisals. In InfoBasis ESI 5.0, however, it is now possible to build workflows using common processes. "For example, many different workflows require a search for a particular skill set," explains Nicholas. "In configuring the platform to a client's needs, we re-use the skills search process, configuring it for particular workflow each time." The result: rapid configuration of a sophisticated technology platform without the need for creating and compiling new code.
"It makes sense to use discrete processes to fit client needs," says Nicholas. "None of these HR operations exists in isolation, and neither does the data that supports them."
