InfoBasis reveals importance of capability management at Learning Technologies 2007
InfoBasis, the capability management expert, will demonstrate the value of organisations understanding their human capital at the Learning Technologies exhibition later this week.
"Capability management is about understanding what your organisation can do," says InfoBasis CEO Ashley Wheaton, "And for most organisations today that means properly understanding the skills of their people. This enables them to deploy staff more effectively tactically and produce effective strategic plans."
Increasingly, organisations rely on technology to plan the work of highly-skilled workforces through reporting on their competencies. "Visionary companies such as BAE Systems, Transport for London and RM are now investing in on understanding people's skills and developing them, using InfoBasis technology." adds Wheaton. "This enables immediate efficiencies through talent management, as well as providing the information for forward capability planning."
This focus on the importance of capability management is echoed in the Learning Technologies Conference, running alongside the exhibition, which features speakers from IBM, Norwich Union, the Crown Prosecution Service and Legal and General, all talking on understanding capability through competency and skills management
InfoBasis supports capability management through its InfoBasis ESI platform, and will be on stand 44 at the Learning Technologies Exhibition. The event runs from 31st January to 1st February at Olympia 2, London.
