InfoBasis Workshop Examines SFIA v 3
Skills management experts show new skills framework
Skills management expert InfoBasis is to run a workshop on the latest version of the Skills Framework for the Information Age on December 7th. ‘A Practical Workshop on SFIA v 3’ will be run at the company’s headquarters near Oxford.
The Skills Framework for the Information Age is the standard dictionary of skills for the IT industry. Initially launched in 1999, the third version of the framework will be unveiled at the Department of Trade and Industry on November 10th at the annual SFIA Conference.
“Interest in the updated version of SFIA is running so high that the seminar is already almost fully booked,” says InfoBasis Alliances Director Donald Taylor. “As a result we will definitely be running extra events in the new year.” Donald sits on the SFIA Steering Group and was part of the board overseeing the update to version 3. The only software supplier accredited by the SFIA Foundation, InfoBasis is already testing SFIA v 3 on its technology platform: InfoBasis Enterprise Skills Infrastructure™.
Suitable for IT Directors, IT Managers, HR Directors, HR Managers and all those involved in personnel development or project management, the workshop will examine the features of SFIA v 3, the latest release of the framework, and consider the effect of changes from SFIA v 2.
The free, all-day event takes place on 7th December 2005 at InfoBasis headquarters in Abingdon. To register, visit http://www.infobasis.com/News/SFIAWorkshops.htm
