Executive Team

The InfoBasis management team members have worked alongside each other for a number of years prior to InfoBasis' incorporation. They form the Board of Directors of InfoBasis Ltd.

Ashley Wheaton, Chief Executive

Ashley WheatonA co-founder and Director of InfoBasis, Ashley has driven the company's strategic direction since his appointment as CEO in 2003. The result has been rapid and continued growth in an emerging market, with the company doubling revenue every year for the last 3 years. Ashley has over 15 years' experience within the Training and Development field and is absolutely firm in his belief that technology needs be a far more powerful enabler within the entire employee development process. He has been working with skills assessment technology for over 10 years, and led the first global skills assessment implementation at Microsoft, where he was Director of Microsoft's Global Learning Services division. Ashley has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from London University.

John Cooke, VP Business Development

John CookeOne of the founders of InfoBasis, John is responsible for working with global clients and partners to implement skills management solutions.Prior to this John worked as Business Development Director in the UK. Before co-founding InfoBasis, John worked for Microsoft as both Business Development Manager and Learning Technologies Program Manager - responsible for the internal marketing, development and delivery of the Microsoft Learning Portal. Working in both the US and UK, John spent over 8 years at Microsoft. Prior to this, John worked in IBM UK's technical support group.

Nicholas Revell, Technical Director

As Technical Director of InfoBasis, Nicholas is responsible for the design and architecture of the InfoBasis software platform and currently heads the R&D team working on new technologies. Prior to co-founding InfoBasis, Nicholas worked as solutions architect at Microsoft. Prior to this Nicholas was Senior Trainer and Consultant in Microsoft Development Technologies at Aris Education. Nicholas has over 15 years' experience in software architecture, systems design and development. Nicholas has a BSc in Business Studies, a MSc in Computing Science and has attained MCSE, MCT and MCSD accreditation.

Andy Andrews, Service Delivery Director

Andy AndrewsAndy has worked for InfoBasis from the company’s inception. Having established InfoBasis first Consultancy team, Andy has a wealth of experience working with clients to successfully fulfil their solution requirements. Andy now manages the Service Delivery team which is responsible for providing consultancy, training and support on InfoBasis’ customer deployments. Prior to joining InfoBasis, Andy held the role of Group Manager for the EMEA region of Microsoft's Global Learning Services group. Before that, Andy worked in a number of learning and development roles including training consultant and college lecturer. Andy has a BSc in Civil Engineering and has attained Microsoft MCSD and MCT accreditation.

Donald Taylor, Strategic Alliances Director

Donald TaylorDonald has been involved in training and IT since the mid ‘80s, including roles in delivery, operations and at board level with Aris Education, a leading IT training company. He also took his own internet course scheduling company from concept to trade sale in the early 2000s. Donald is a Fellow of the UK’s Institute of IT Training, chairman of the Learning Technologies conference, and sits on the SFIA Foundation Steering Group, the CompTIA Technology Learning Group Board as well as the Skills for Business Network’s Work-Based E-Learning Virtual Advisory Network. He is a member of the advisory board for Learning and Development Magazine, and has a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics.
