Technical Trainer
InfoBasis are the providers of a development platform that is used by internal and external development teams. The role of Technical Trainer completes the loop between the platform development team and application development teams that use the platform. This is a technical role and the successful individual will be as comfortable providing short internal presentations to the project development team as they will be creating and delivering training solutions to a partner’s development team.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Create technical documentation: Create wiki-based technical documentation for the platform; Create code snippets demonstrating approaches and techniques; Review developer support queries and determine where documentation is lacking.
Deliver internal and external presentations: Ensure awareness and usage of new features and functionality, Prepare videos/screen capture sessions for self-serve learning, Build and maintain PowerPoint presentations for technical presentations.
Deliver training courses: Prepare material, exercises and deliver training for developers on the InfoBasis platform. Deliver courses in the UK and where necessary abroad (notably at Salary.com offices in the US and China)
Experience
Technical Experience: Microsoft .NET Framework, C#, Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server, XML
Documentation Development: Experience in creating documentation, training material or other learning objects.
Training Delivery: Experience delivering training or workshops to new developers.
Personal Qualities
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Willing to assume responsibility for documentation and technical training.
- Organised, able to work to deadlines.
